Thelma is a very special cat looking for a very special home, she is our longest resident being in a rescue foster home for over two years. Thelma is a shy girl who will take a while to settle and feel comfortable in new surroundings therefore the home must be quiet with calm and patient adult/s, she will find children scary but could live with another cat. It is important that she is kept indoors for some time and would even benefit from her own room where she will be safe but can be visited and sat with as often as possible. Once Thelma is relaxed, knows and trusts her new people she may like to venture outside, something she has not been able to do for so long, so she must live in a quiet area away from busy roads. Thelma is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She has been overlooked for so long now because she is so shy and some time and work will need to be put into her, most people find this offputting but in the right home and given time Thelma will blossom, foster care is no long term answer she needs a home, she needs a life, she sees other cats come and go which just unsettles her more, the longer she stays in this situation the more withdrawn and unhappy she becomes, could someone please consider giving this girl a chance she is only about three years old and deserves a better future, her past was awful which is why she is so shy now, she needs a place to call home where she can at last be happy. Please note the required donation is our standard for a adult neutered etc cat, we have several options where Thelma is concerned so it's open for discussion the quality of the home is not, thanks.
    Advice about buying a pet
    • Read up on the pet you are interested in and that it fits with your lifestyle.
    • Insist on seeing the mother with the litter and judge the parents’ health and temperament.
    • Make sure your chosen pet is old enough to leave its mother.
    • Check that the seller’s facilities are clean, & that the animals appear healthy.
    • Never send money or a check to someone in exchange for a pet.
    • Ask for a written medical history of the animal (vaccination and worming etc).
    • Consider adopting a rescue puppy from our rescue section. There are thousands of healthy dogs who need a home.
