Two of three kittens that had been dumped in a bag on the roof of a derelict building died.

The kittens were found on the roof of a derelict building in Elegin Cemetery on Sunday morning. Two men passing nearby found a black rucksack, zipped shut with three female tortoiseshell kittens inside, according to BBC News. Only one of the 5-week-old kittens survived.

The officers from the Scottish SPCA are appealing for anyone with information about this act of animal cruelty to contact them.
