    Shelter Caturday - Kitty

    NewsShelter Caturday!Friday 22 July 2016

Every Saturday we run a special feature on a rescue cat looking for a loving home. This week the spotlight is on Kitty, a very sweet and affectionate cat looking for a forever home.

Established in 1860, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home aims to never turn away a dog or cat in need of help. They reunite lost dogs and cats with their owners; when they can’t do this they care for them until new owners can be found for them. They also work hard to educate the public about responsible pet ownership including microchipping, neutering and training. This includes educational talks and visits to schools and organisations, events, and publications. They help care for over 9000 cats & dogs a year - including Kitty, a very sweet and affectionate lady who loves to be stroked and groomed!

    Name: Kitty

    Breed: Persian cross

    Sex: Female

    Age: 11 years 5 Months

    Centre: London

    Reference: 350649

Kitty is a very sweet and affectionate cat and loves sitting with people, especially when they give her catnip – she will roll over and over in it!

She enjoys being stroked and groomed and her favourite pastime is sleeping although she’s partial to the odd game of chase and pounce of her toys every now and again.

Kitty is happy to have the company of children so long as they aren’t too interested in picking her up and playing with her all the time.

She prefers the warmth and security of the home and is not too bothered about going outside, though she may hunt out a sunny outside spot to have a little snooze.

If you think you could offer Kitty a home please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home on 0843 509 4444 or contact them by email at [email protected] for more information.
