Every Saturday we run a special feature on a rescue cat looking for a loving home. This week the spotlight is on Greta, who has only known life at the shelter and deserves to enjoy the homely feeling with a forever family.

Established in 1860, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home aims to never turn away a dog or cat in need of help. They reunite lost dogs and cats with their owners; when they can’t do this they care for them until new owners can be found for them. They also work hard to educate the public about responsible pet ownership including microchipping, neutering and training. This includes educational talks and visits to schools and organisations, events, and publications. They help care for over 9000 cats & dogs a year - including Greta, a lovely girl looking for a loving, forever home

    Name: Greta

    Breed: Domestic Short-hair

    Sex: Female

    Age: 5 years 3 months

    Centre: London

    Reference: 357104

Gentle Greta has led a sheltered life until now. She has found the cattery to be a daunting place so is currently spending time in a foster home where she likes to play and receive a fuss when she is feeling brave.

Greta would appreciate finding a quiet home with adults only, where she can truly relax.

While she has previously been an indoor cat, Greta is still young and will benefit from having access to a garden once she has found her feet in her new home.

To meet Greta, please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s London centre on 0843 509 4444
