Every Saturday we run a special feature on a rescue cat looking for a loving home. This week the spotlight is on Barry, a lively lad ready to jump on a forever home.

Established in 1860, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home aims to never turn away a dog or cat in need of help. They reunite lost dogs and cats with their owners; when they can’t do this they care for them until new owners can be found for them. They also work hard to educate the public about responsible pet ownership including microchipping, neutering and training. This includes educational talks and visits to schools and organisations, events, and publications. They help care for over 9000 cats & dogs a year - including Barry, a young boy looking for a loving, forever home.

    Name: Barry

    Breed: Domestic Medium-hair

    Sex: Male

    Age: 4 years 1 months

    Centre: London

    Reference: 361423

Playful little Barry is a bundle of joy and will be a brilliant addition to any home!

Potential new friends can expect to suddenly be used as a bed as Barry loves to curl in nice, warm laps!

Even though Barry is an affectionate young soul, he can become a little overwhelmed and excited with attention, so new friends must be ready to watch out for any behaviour that signals this!

As Barry is still so young, he will need access into a garden for fun and games.

Barry would prefer to be the only pet in the household.

To meet Barry, please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s London centre on 0843 509 4444.
