    Shelter Cat Tuesday - Rufus

    NewsShelter Cat TuesdayTuesday 15 May 2018

    Every Tuesday we run a special feature on a rescue cat looking for a loving home. This week the spotlight is on Rufus, a young soul ready to move in to a forever home.

    Established in 1860, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home aims to never turn away a dog or cat in need of help. They reunite lost dogs and cats with their owners; when they can’t do this they care for them until new owners can be found for them. They also work hard to educate the public about responsible pet ownership including microchipping, neutering and training. This includes educational talks and visits to schools and organisations, events, and publications. They help care for over 9000 cats & dogs a year - including Rufus, a sensitive lad looking for a loving, forever home.

    Name: Rufus

    Breed: Domestic Short-hair;

    Sex: Male

    Age: 2 years 6 months

    Centre: London

    Reference: 363400

    Scruffy Rufus may look like a tough guy, but he is actually a sensitive soul searching for his happily ever after.

    He was found as a stray, luckily by a very kind person who looked after him until he could come into Battersea.

    He can be a little nervous at first and needs a calm and gentle person willing to give him all the TLC he deserves.

    Rufus needs a garden in his new home, as he would love his own garden to explore.

    To meet Rufus, please contact Battersea’s London centre on 0843 509 4444.
