    Kittens shot and abandoned

    NewsAnimal CrueltyFriday 30 September 2011

Two 10-week-old black kittens were shot with a BB gun and abandoned near a car wash in Westerly, Rhode Island (USA). The animal control officers are searching for the culprits.

The pair of the little kittens were found earlier this month behind the car wash in Westerly. Due to their unusual behaviour and dizziness they were taken to the veterinary hospital. The vets discovered that both kittens had been shot with a BB gun and they had a single BB lodged into their skulls. As it was possible that removing the metal balls would be more harmful for the kittens, they were left in. As for the report, the kittens are recovering and are going to be rehomed soon.

The Westerly Police Department is investigating a case. The culprit is going to face animal cruelty charges once caught.
