    Kittens dumped in suitcase

NewsUK Cat NewsThursday 13 October 2011

Six little 8-week-old kittens were found abandoned in a suitcase outside a hotel in Whipps Cross Road, Leytonstone, London last week.

The staff at the Alfred Hitchcock Hotel were alerted by a startled guest who spotted one of the cats scampering around its car park in the morning last Friday, 7th October. The employees found a partially zipped-up bag near its entrance with four of the kittens still inside, and another running around nearby. The kittens were taken to the vet and are doing fine as somebody who dumped the bag left it slightly open so the felines could get some air. Homes for the kittens have already been found in the space of a few hours, thanks to Mrs Flack and her friend, the actress Jackie Clune. The pair and parents of children at Our Lady of Lourdes Church School in Wanstead spread the word and soon found several families willing to look after the animals.
