    Kitten rescued from River Faughan

NewsUK Cat NewsThursday 11 August 2011

12-week-old kitten was rescued by a passer-by from a River Faughan after its owner had tried to drown the feline. Jonah, the cat, feels well.

According to BBC News, the kitten was thrown from a bridge at the River Faughan in Drumohoe together with other four kittens that unfortunately did not manage to survive. A passer-by spotted kittens in the water and pulled one kitten from the water as he couldn’t reach the others. The kitten was taken to the vet who detected an ear infection. The cat had to be also wormed and had fleas.

The kitten feels well know and is waiting to be rehomed in Rainbow Rehoming Centre in Londonderry. Anyone who can offer a new home for this cat is asked to contact the shelter.
