    260 mile journey

NewsUK Cat NewsFriday 11 November 2011

A cat which had just been transported 260 miles on route to a new home escaped last week and appears to have been lost.

The 14-year-old Persian cat called Ruby was rescued by the Feline Network in Devon after her elderly owner passed away. The cat was picked-up from Devon and was taken to its home in Harold Hill before planned transport to another home further out into Essex. As the woman arrived back to Widdecombe Close in the afternoon, Ruby bolted from her car and disappeared into the night.

The woman is a member of a network of people who help find rescued animals a new home. The network mainly uses the internet to help like-minded people get in touch with each other to help re-home the pets. Anyone who has seen Ruby or thinks they know where she is should call Debbie Da Silva-Dias from the Feline Network on 07711957837 or Lauren on 07956301378.
