NewsUK Cat NewsThursday 29 September 2011

Two boys rescued a little kitten that was floating down a canal in a small basket. The incident happened on the Leeds and Liverpool canal at Bramley, on Saturday, 10th September.

A small kitten was spotted by two 11-year-old boys when floating down a canal in a basket, according to the Yorkshire Post. The white and black kitten named Moses (short named: Mo), was tied inside a pink plastic basket with a piece of blue twine. However, the basket was filling with water. The two boys took the kitten to one of their homes where their parents called the RSPCA.

The kitten was aged around nine weeks old at the time and wasn’t micro-chipped.

Anyone with any information about the incident is urged to telephone the RSPCA on 0300 1234 999.
