    NewsAnimal CrueltyFriday 03 February 2012

Police are investigating the suspected poisoning of two cats in Lisburn.
They were found dead by a member of the public in Traherne Gardens on Saturday 29 January.
A vet examined the animals and believes both were poisoned, however police are awaiting toxicology results to confirm this and to identify the possible poison.
Officers want to establish if the poisoning was deliberate or accidental and have appealed for information.
Anyone who, for any reason, laid a poison or anyone who noticed animal food or unusual substances in the Traherne Gardens or surrounding area last weekend is asked to get in touch on 0845 600 8000      .
One of the cats belonged to the man who found them. The owner of the other has yet to be identified
Anyone who believes they may be the owner of the second cat, described as a black male cat with white under its chin, is asked to get in touch with police.
