Your cat or kitten could be a model for the Swansea Calendar!

    NewsCat RehomingWednesday 20 August 2014

Is your kitty fiercy looking, or has some clown fair to it?

Swansea Cats Protection is looking for eye-catching felines to star in its first fundraising calendar — and they are happy to feature the characterful alongside the conventionally purfect.

Entries are already open and contestants seem to be happy to take part of a charitable project.

The aim of this initiative is to raise awareness of the charity and of the over abundance of cats they have in their care who need new homes.

This is not a beauty contest. They are looking for cats of all shapes and sizes for the 2015 calendar.

The photographs can be of cats, kittens, old cats, feral cats, funny cats, sad cats, pretty cats, ugly cats, So, any cat is eligible.

The charity currently has about 30 cats and 60 kittens that they are looking to to place on safe, caring homes for. Any money raised from the calendar will go towards food, litter, vet fees, boarding fees, neutering, microchipping and treating for fleas and worms for all the rescued cats and kittens in the charity.

The calendar will be sold in the Swansea Cats Protection shop in Brynmill and in pet shops around Swansea Bay.

Entrees need to be emailed in along with a donation of £1 per submitted image, donated via their JustGiving page.

The 12 winning shots will be chosen by Swansea's Graham Smith, from All About the Image.

The closing date for submissions is August 31. Send your entries to [email protected]
