Two cat killers escape jail
Two women from West Midlands, aged 17 and 21, have escaped jail after they drowned four cats in their bath, according to the Daily Mail.
Two young women were charged after they had drowned four cats in a bath after the night full of drink and drugs. The four kittens were with one of the women for less than a year. Their dead bodies were put in a plastic bag and threw over a fence to a neighbour’s garden. One of the women has been pleaded guilty to animal cruelty, while another one, the cats’ owner, to failing to ensure the welfare of the kittens.
Both women were given 18-week jail sentences yesterday, suspended for 2 years, and 180 hours of unpaid work, put under two year supervision orders and banned from owning animals for two years. The women were also ordered to pay £480 court costs each.
