Shelter Caturday - Sophie
Every Saturday we run a special feature on a rescue cat looking for a loving home. This week the spolight is on Sophie, a very mellow, gentle and lovely companion looking for a calm and steady home.
Established in 1860, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home aims to never turn away a dog or cat in need of help. They reunite lost dogs and cats with their owners; when they can’t do this they care for them until new owners can be found for them. They also work hard to educate the public about responsible pet ownership including microchipping, neutering and training. This includes educational talks and visits to schools and organisations, events, and publications. They help care for over 9000 cats & dogs a year - including Patches; a gentle and friendly big boy who is looking for a forever family.
Age: 8 Year 4 Months
Breed: Domestic Short-hair
She is such a gorgeous cat who likes to cuddle and insists on being on your lap, wherever it is you choose to sit. She is a purring machine!, very mellow, gentle and lovely companion.
She loves playing with her toys and can guarantee lots of laughs, but also she enjoys being brushed (however when she is finished she will tell you with a swat of her hand or a light bite). She will require outside access to a garden once settled.
She doesn’t like loud noises and prefer a quiet house where can rest, have a nice nap or watch a movie next to her owner. If you can offer Sophie a home, please call Battersea Dogs & Cats Home on 0843 509 4444 for more information.
