Every Saturday we run a special feature on a rescue cat looking for a loving home. This week the spotlight is on Polly, a senior lady looking for a retirement home to call her own.

Established in 1860, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home aims to never turn away a dog or cat in need of help. They reunite lost dogs and cats with their owners; when they can’t do this they care for them until new owners can be found for them. They also work hard to educate the public about responsible pet ownership including microchipping, neutering and training. This includes educational talks and visits to schools and organisations, events, and publications. They help care for over 9000 cats & dogs a year - including Polly, a sensitive sweetheart who will be more than happy to be pampered in a loving home.

    Name: Polly

    Sex: Female

    Breed: Domestic Short Hair

    Age: 8 Years 6 Months

    Centre: London

    Reference: 345931

Pretty little Polly is a sensitive sweetheart.

Once the eight year old gets to know you, she loves to be fussed and enjoys showing off by rolling around cutely in her bed.

She was quite worried when she first arrived here at Battersea but with a little patience she is now a gentle and affectionate lady.

Polly would love a settled household with understanding people who are willing to take time for her to blossom into an amazing companion.

If you think you could offer Polly a home please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home on 0843 509 4444 or contact them by email at [email protected] for more information.

Could you provide a loving home for a rescue kitty? Have a look for shelters in your local area.
