Shelter Caturday - Max
Every Saturday we are running a special feature on a rescue cat looking for a loving home. This week the spotlight is on 14 year old Max, who currently resides in the Cats Protection National Adoption Centre in Haywards Heath.
October and Halloween are approaching fast, and its often this time of year that we are reminded of the unfair superstition surrounding black cats. Often beautiful, loving and playful cats will miss out on a forever home to their more colourful counterparts, all because of their colour. Similarly, older and elderly cats - who can be wonderful companions - are frequently overlooked.
The Cats Protection National Adoption Centre are currently looking for a forever home for Max, a handsome chap who we think will make someone a charming feline family member!
He originally came into the centre when his owners moved house and couldn't take him with them. Despite being the ripe age of 14, he is a lively independent lad who likes to being fussed over - on his own terms. He also enjoys play time and strokes but, again, his new family needs to let him have his space in case he isn't in the mood.
For this reason, Max would prefer to live with a family without young children and would like to be the only pet in the house. Max also loves exploring and would love a garden to potter about in.
If you think you could provide the perfect home for this furry fella to live out his golden years, go to Max's page for more information and arrange to see him at the Cats Protection National Adoption Centre!
