    Shelter Caturday - Cookie

    NewsShelter Caturday!Friday 20 November 2015
Every Saturday we run a special feature on a rescue cat looking for a loving home. This week the spotlight is on Cookie, a playful and very friendly 5-month-old little boy who deserves a family.

Established in 1860, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home aims to never turn away a dog or cat in need of help. They reunite lost dogs and cats with their owners; when they can’t do this they care for them until new owners can be found for them. They also work hard to educate the public about responsible pet ownership including microchipping, neutering and training. This includes educational talks and visits to schools and organisations, events, and publications. They help care for over 9000 cats & dogs a year - including Cookie, only 5 months and still does not know what living in a home feels like.

    Name: Cookie

    Sex: Male

    Age: 0 Years 5 Months

    Breed: Domestic Medium Hair

    Centre: Battersea

    Reference: 341768

Cookie is a playful and friendly boy who has lived a sheltered life, so he has been a little worried about finding himself here in the Battersea cattery.

Give him a ping pong ball and a few toys and he soon forgets his troubles and leaps around in delight, before snuggling up next to you for strokes, purring loudly.

Cookie would suit a calm home without too much noise. He will need a garden in his new home once settled and new owners who are happy to regularly groom his beautiful fluffy coat.

If you think you could offer Cookie a home please contact Battersea Dogs & Cats Home on 0843 509 4444 or contact them by email at [email protected] for more information.
