Every Saturday we run a special feature on a rescue cat looking for a loving home. This pretty lady is Bo - shes a sweet 6 year old cat waiting for a loving home at Yorkshire Animal Shelter.

Yorkshire Animal Shelter helps stray and abandoned animals who are in need of care and attention and provide treatment for sick or injured animals. They tirelessly maintain facilities for the reception and care of animals and to re-home and foster where appropriate. Locally, they educate the public in all aspects of animal care and promote animal welfare in the community. Their good work helps many animals each year - including Bo, who is currently at the shelter awaiting a forever home!

Bo is just delightful and, shockingly, has been waiting for a new home for over 16 months. She did get adopted from the shelter before this, but was unfortunately returned due to a change in her owner's circumstances.

Bo used to be a bit nervous when being handled, but the volunteers at the shelter have used her time in rescue to combat this. She now enjoys head scratches, playtime and even dribbles when being stroked as she just loves the attention! She loves human company and has lived with other cats before, so there is no reason why she couldn't live with other cats in her new home - although it would depend on the personality of the resident cat(s).

What Bo really needs is a quiet adult only home, or perhaps a home with older, calm teenagers.Bo doesn't like dogs, so her new home would have to be canine-free!

All Bo wants is a little love and patience - she deserves a second chance at a forever home!
