When a distressed pet owner near Cirencester lost her moggy she got straight on the phone to Tom Watkins – a real life Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.

Elisabeth Lambert’s two-year-old cat Neo went missing from her home in Bagendon, near Cirencester, on Friday, February 24.

Concerned for his welfare and fearing that he could have been cat-napped, Mrs Lambert got on the phone to Tom Watkins and his team of pet detectives at Animal Search UK.

Tom, a former police officer, has more than 18 years of investigation experience and leaves no stone unturned in his quest to find missing pets.

The team use walkie-talkies, rescue traps, torches and police style patrol vehicles on full searches and can be in any area of the UK within 48 hours to help owners.

Since taking on Elisabeth’s case, they have followed up several leads and have now installed a GPS tracking system on Neo’s brother Duke’s collar in the hope he will track him down.

Anyone with information on Mrs Lambert’s cat is urged to ring the 24 hour Animal Search UK helpline in confidence on 0800 4320340, email [email protected] or visit the lost and found website at animalsearchuk.co.uk
