Overweight cat put down
An overweight cat that was found injured on the side of the road in Burnham-on-Sea had to be put down, according to BBC News.
The cat that was found in The cat was found in Frank Foley Parkway, Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset last week weighed 23.5 lb (10,5kg). The RSPCA said the cat had untreated injuries on his back that, as the cat was unable to clean itself, were covered in maggots. Although the cause of the injuries is unknown, it is believed that they must have existed for longer time. Although the cat was found without a collar and had not been microchipped, the RSPCA employees believe that it was not a stray cat as it must have been overfed.
The RSPCA is applying for any information about the cat and its owner to make sure that there are no other animals that are suffering.
