New Cat Charity Shop in Cheam
New charity shop in Cheam opened its doors last Saturday.
The new shop will sell everything from bric-a-brac to clothes and it is going to raise money to rehome and care for cats and kittens. The Sutton and Cheam branch of Cat Protection will celebrate its 30th birthday next year. The branch of the charity has managed to find new homes for 1.677 cats and kittens, neutered 1.611 just since 2000. In September, the Sutton and Cheam Cats Protections is offering all the cat owners with low incomes (students, pensioners, unemployed) a free neutering of their pets.
Anyone willing to volunteer their time to help run the shop in Cheam Village is asked to call on 0208 642 1575.
Cats Protection’s Sutton & Cheam Branch is part of the charity’s national network of 257 volunteer-run branches and 30 adoption centres that together help over 230,000 cats and kittens each year.
