New book published about cat training
While reading the title you may feel a little bemused but it is no joke. An expert named Mieshelle Nagelschneider is a specialist in cats and has written a book all about cats. It is not the sort of training like tricks or jumps but more coercive techniques such as preventing scratching, excessive meow-ing and hostility.
Mieshelle has not just learned through books and studying but from actual real-life experiences. She grew up with cats on a farm and also worked in a vetenary clinic. Over time she has slowly developed an understanding of the furry friends.
One useful tip that comes from her book is that if cats are fighting within the house then it may be a good idea to put more litter trays in the house. Cats work on a social hierarchy and fighting can quite often be based on who needs to go to the toilet first sort of like who needs to use the bathroom first at 8.00am.
Although usually giving private sessions to clients and their cats around Portland, Oregon, USA, she has taken to the Internet to reach out to more and published a book.
Her new book that came out recently is called: The Cat Whisperer: Why Cats Do What They Do — and How to Get Them to Do What You Want.
