NewsUK Cat NewsThursday 27 October 2011

Bertie, a 10-week-old kitten was rescued from a wheelie bin by a boy who was playing in the street with his friends in east Hull.

The 11-year-old boy heard a strange noise, like cat's crying and started to search gardens to locate the source of the noise. After few minutes the boy opened a wheelie bin to discover a small kitten that had been dumped inside and left to dead. The boy climbed into the bin to rescue the kitten before wrapping it in his coat to take him home in east Hull.

Unable to find room at any animal shelters the kitten was taken in by the boy's neighbours. However, the kitten needs to find a new home as soon as possible. Anyone who can rehome Bertie please contactStepping Stones Animal Rescue on 01482 573151.
