Jogger from Suffolk finds 15 kittens
Two cats and 15 kittens were found abandoned in boxes sealed with tape in a ditch by a jogger in Barham, near Ipswich last Thursday evening.
The local branch of RSPCA was contacted immediately. The cats were unable to escape and they were left on a rural road where the chances to meet somebody are close to zero. According to the employees, the cats had no chances to survive and it could have ended badly if they had not been found by someone passing by on foot. Seven kittens were found in a box with one of the cats,. The other cat was found in a wooden chest with eight young kittens. The RSPCA is searching for the cat that was in the chest after she became spooked and ran into the countryside when the jogger removed the tape. The remaining cat, believed to be about one year old, and all the 15 kittens believed to be four to five weeks old are healthy and in good condition.
It is said that a silver car was seen nearby shortly before 19:00 BST. Anyone with information about the incident or interested in adopting one of the kittens is asked to contact the RSPCA's Bury St Edmunds branch.
