Two cats died due to the injuries from an airgun shooting in Fife. 5-year-old white tortoiseshell cat and 2-year-old tortoiseshell kitten suffered serious injuries and died shortly after the incidents.

Cleo, 5-year-old white tortoiseshell cat, was found last Saturday by its owner staggering around in the back yard of their house in Burntisland. The feline had its neck and legs covered in blood and died before the vet arrival. Just few weeks before, another cat, a 2-year-old tortoiseshell kitten, suffered internal injuries after being shot from an airgun in the Townhill area of Dunfermline. Cats’ examinations found airgun pellets in both animals.

Anyone with information can contact Fife Police on 0845 6005702 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111, where all calls are treated anonymously.
