Cat Museum opens in Ohio
Last weekend the new Feline Historical Museum was opened in Alliance, Ohio (USA). The Cat Fanciers’ Association, which is a non-profit organization has relocated to Alliance from New Jersey after getting a loan from the town.
The town has fallen on hard times and the president of Alliance’s Chamber of Commerce hopes cats could help. Although in the begininning nobody took the idea seriously, it started to change when the museum provided full-time jobs and more important – has become very popular in town.
The museum is billed as the world's largest devoted to felines. It features a cat library, cat artwork and historical items, like the ribbon that went to the first ever cat show winner in 1895.
