Cat missing after fire
Gurnee firefighters (USA) were called to a fire last Saturday and managed to rescue a woman and one of her cats. Other pet stays missing as the officers were unable to find it.
The rescue team responded to the emergency call for heavy smoke coming from a two-story townhouse in the 100 block. The 60-year-old woman was found unconscious and was taken out of the home. She received advanced life support care and was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville for further treatment.
According to the officers’ report the woman had two cats but only one of them was found. The firefighters suspect that the pet could run out through one of the ventilation openings.
