Cat homing show in Stornoway
The Isle of Lewis Branch of the Cats Protection is going to hold a cat homing show on Saturday September 24 in Bridge Centre in Stornoway.
The Isle of Lewis branch covering also Harris is aimed to provide cat re-homing service. There are currently 9 volunteers helping to get all the necessary things for the cats. Last year, the centre took in 94 cats and paid for 294 neutering. Cats Protection has around 7,000 cats in its care at any one time across the country. Due to the increasing number of abandoned cats, the centre organizes the rehoming event so everyone can meet the cats and kittens living in the centre. Following the re-homing event on Saturday, 24th September between 10am and 12.30pm, there will be a volunteering event starting at 1.30pm at the same venue.
If you are interested in either giving a cat a home, or in volunteering, but cannot come to the meetings please call 01851 612 448 for a chat. The Isle of Lewis Branch currently has 20 cats and kittens in its care awaiting a second chance in life.
