According to the bbc.co.uk, A leading animal charity is appealing for information after the death of three cats in Argyll and Bute by suspected anti-freeze poisoning.

The Scottish SPCA believes that the cats from the Stag Park area of Lochgilphead that all died within a week of each other, had been poisoned deliberately given the time of year. Poisoning by anti-freeze causes a cat to suffer a painful death as it stops all the internal organs.

The culprits can face a prison sentence or a fine of up to £20.000. Anyone with information is asked to contact the charity’s animal helpline.
