Before going to a cattery, you should remember about having all the vaccinations up-to-date. Depending on the cattery you should have all the vaccinations checked and usually you will need to do it a minimum of 14 days prior to check in date.

The 14 day period is motivated by the fact that if an activated vaccine is administered, the cat can pass the virus to other cats. The risk for that usually diminished after 14 days. It also takes 14 days for an immune system to respond fully to a vaccination.

You might also need the cat’s current vaccination certificate.

You should always remember to have all the documentation up-to-date at all times. If you decide to leave your cat in the cattery, you should bare in mind that your cat must fulfil several requirements.
