Caring for cats properly is very important. Cat care will affect how your cat behaves as well as its health. For a guide on complete cat care, see the following cat care advice.

    Health

To care for cats you will need to make sure they get regular visits to the vet for vaccines and general cat care check-ups. Caring for cats means paying close attention to their behaviour. If you think the cat is acting strangely, a trip to vet will be necessary.

    Grooming

When caring for cats, grooming is essential. This will help avoid hairballs, promotes good blood flow, and is a great bonding exercise for you both.

    • Use a pin brush for long fur
    • Use a flat and slick brush for short hair
    • Use a small, triangle brush for the ears and face
    • Use a gentle and smaller brush for kitten care

    Food

Feed the right food, in the correct amount, at the correct times. Proper cat’s care means only feeding a small amount at a time. Over feeding is detrimental to a cat’s health. Provide water everyday, never milk.

Spend as much time with your cat as you can, on top of feeding and grooming times. Play with the cat, and pet them to show love. Using balls or toys will also exercise the cat, which is very important.

    Scratch Posts

To provide cat care or kitten care that will benefit you both, invest in a scratching post. This will save the cat scratching on your belongings and ruining things, as scratching comes naturally to all cats.
